A pastor attached to one of the Pentecostal churches in Onitsha, Anambra
State, has been detained at the Central Police Station (CPS), Onitsha for
raping an 11-year-old girl while supposedly delivering her from
witchcraft.
According to local media, the pastor, whose church is situated
at Tasia Road, Inland Town, Onitsha, was said to have told Mrs. Onyeji, the
girl’s mother, that her daughter would die in the next five days if she
went back home with her.
The pastor consequently insisted that the girl should stay back with him.

The Pastor was arrested when the girl’s mother discovered that she was
bleeding from her private part, a few days after she stayed with the pastor for
prayers over her alleged demonic possession. (Why would you leave your
daughter with a male pastor..gosh! This is a modern age).
Upon investigation, the girl told her mother that the pastor raped her three
times after spreading white cloth on the ground. (eewh!)
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at the CPS, Onitsha, Mr. Abdul Yusuf, told
journalists on Tuesday [June 12] in a telephone chat that he was not on seat,
but a police officer, who did not want his name mentioned, confirmed the
incident, adding that the pastor would soon be charged to court.
