The Lagos state House Of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon Mudashiru Obasa has reacted to the allegations of fraud against him.
This is coming after Sahara Reporters, accused him of fraud.
In Sahara Reporters’ report, 64 Bank Accounts were linked to his BVN. They allegedly were used to siphon funds.
He was discovered to award N258M to himself for printing of invitation cards for the inauguration of Lagos lawmakers two months after it was held.
According to Sahara Reporters, Mr Obasa collects N17m monthly from the Assembly to maintain his personal residence and guest house and also got N53m from the state coffers to travel with his mistress to the United States of America.
However, in an online live session with Dele Momodu, Obasa has oponed up on the allegations.
In the video, he said anyone should call his former boss, Fashola and ask if he has been linked to any fraud when he was a commissioner.
He added that in Sahara Reporters’ report, he wasn’t accused of “stealing” money, rather, he was accused of spending money.
“What is the purpose of money”? he asked… Is it not to spend? He responded.
