Amidst a bribery scandal which made headlines just days ago. Governor of Kano State, Ganduje has still received an award in Lagos.
It was gathered that though he was accused of receiving bribe from contractors in the state, he turned up for the event with his wife, Dr Hafsat Umar Ganduje and received an award at the 10th LEAD Project, Big Innovation Festival which took place at the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island Lagos.
It was gathered that it was a merit award for his many achievements in infrastructure, which led to the significant development of Kano in just 3 years of his administration, which has tremendously enhanced economics activities in the state.
According to organizers of the event, the event is an avenue to celebrate and especially recognize creativity, innovations, brilliant ideas and enterprises in various sectors of the African economy. Among the objectives of the project are to provide and proffer solutions to some of our economic challenges and business growth in the continent.
