Spotify announced the release of Wrapped 2022 for Nigeria, a look at the songs that helped local fans define the year musically.
Our musical tastes reveal a lot about who we are. Spotify subscribers receive a complete overview of their favorite musicians, authors, and songs as part of Wrapped 2022.
Additionally, as part of this year’s entertainment, Audio Day displays how Spotify users’ musical preferences change throughout the course of the day, and the new Your Listening Personality feature informs users of their listening habits and what that reveals about their musical preferences.
Each user is given one of 16 Listening Personality types developed by Spotify based on their listening patterns in 2022.
Users will be able to share their Wrapped cards via WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Wrapped 2022 will also include notes from artists to their audience.
Fans may also create a Snapchat lens that is unique to them based on their listening preferences, and those who participate in the Roblox community can visit Spotify Island for even more games and fun.
Nigerians genuinely believe that local music is superior, as seen by this year’s Spotify Wrapped and the rise of Afrobeats as the country’s hottest genre.
The top most streamed Nigerians artists locally in 2022 are Afrobeats artists. Burna Boy, Asake, BNXN, Wizkid and Davido appear in the top 5 most streamed songs of 2022.
