Nigerian veteran rapper, Eedris Abdulkareem is back with a new jam titled Ole.
Eedris Abdulkareem is known from way back for his many songs centre on social issues, and in this song titled Ole, the veteran rapper blasted the Nigerian highest law-making body, the Senate.
Ole saw Eedris Abdulkareem react to the National Assembly Copyright Repeal and Reenactment Bill, which is expected to affect the creative industry which including the music and movie industry.
ThisDay reported that the Copyright Act repeal and re-enactment Bill, 2021’, sponsored by Senator Adetokunbo Abiru (Lagos East), seeks a holistic review of the policy and legal framework for copyright protection in the country.
In his lead debate, Abiru said the Bill seeks, among others, to bring the Copyright Act in tandem with current realities and to achieve the following:
“Strengthen the copyright regime in Nigeria to enhance the competitiveness of its creative industries in a digital and knowledge-based global economy.”
