In celebration of this year’s international women’s day, a former Most Beautiful Girl In Nigeria, MGBN, Omowunmi Akinnifesi, has listed her achievements.
In a social media post, Omowunmi Akinnifesi revealed how she started from primary school up to several business schools to now owning her own brands.
According to the graduate of discipleship school, she has to celebrate herself because such is required some times.
“Happy International Women’s Day. Let me reintroduce myself.
I went to 5 different primary schools. Grew up in Sierra Leone. High school was Queens College Lagos. Attended University of Lagos and then Kings College London for my Masters degree.
Studied at London College of fashion and later obtained certificates in Project Management and another in Business Analysis. Won the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant, Won the Miss Tourism International Pageant, Miss Bikini International Odessa Black Sea and represented Nigeria at the Miss World Pagent in 2005. Became Lagos State Environment Ambassador, travelled to several countries across continents. Became the face of Nivea Africa in 2017.
I currently own a fashion brand named “Omowunmi” and a sister brand “Wumi”. Attended CIEBS and took the Women in Entrepreneurship and Leadership for Africa program, studied with at ALIBABA Business school in China, studied at Harvard University and at IESE Newyork. Founded Global Woman Africa a Non-profit organization. I am also a prophet (haha bet you didn’t see that one coming). Graduated from several bible schools. I chase God and go wherever he leads.
I have an Environmental Consultancy called Elletech, and an Interior Decor business named Ellepoise. .
I didn’t write it all but we should learn to toot our own horn. Cos no one will. We always bow our heads down in modesty. While that’s good, you must also hold your head up high with pride.
