There is excitement in the air as award-winning Afrobeat singer, Tiwa Savage has finally announced the release date of her first movie.
The movie star, who hinted at working on her first lead role as an actor and Executive producer in 2023, has via her Instagram page announced that her highly anticipated movie, Water & Garri is premiering soon. According to her, Warri & Garri would premiere on Prime Video on May 10th.

Tiwa Savage would play the lead act in this enthralling movie project, which depicts African stories in a more inviting light with the success she has made in the music industry.
The movie which is directed by Meji Alabi and shot in Cape Coast, Ghana, would star Mike Afolarin (Far From Home) and Jemima Osunde (New Money). The movie tells the story of Aisha (Savage), an ambitious fashion designer who returns home after 10 years away in the U.S. but must learn to live with her sc@rs and confront the g¥ilt she left behind.
