Teni’s manager, Edobor Redman has made it known that the singer is unshaken by comments recently made about her looks by Pulse NG editor, Osagie Alonge.
Alonge had said on his Loose Talk podcast that Teni has no business been a singer because of her looks. He advised that she should opt for songwriting instead.
Speaking with Punch Newspaper, her manager, Redman said, “She just felt it was his own opinion; she is not bothered about it. For her, she is only focused on where she is going. She made a promise to Nigerians that she would bring home a Grammy award and she is working towards that.”
“It is normal and everyone has their different opinions on an issue or about an individual. In a way, it was good for Teni too, as it has made her more popular among Nigerians. An opinion of someone cannot stop Teni’s focus. You know Teni has crazy fans; all the reactions online were in our favour. We were just relaxed about it and we didn’t need to say a word. They have been sending people who know us to beg us and I think he (Osagie) tried to reach us himself too”, he added.
