Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie has proudly adopted her former daughter-in-law, May Edochie as her daughter despite her separation from her nephew, Yul Edochie.
It is no longer news that May Edochie and her actor husband, Yul have separated following his marriage to colleague, Judy Austin, and death of their son, Kambilichukwu.
Taking to her Instagram page, Rita made it known that she would continually protect May Edochie as she likened herself to a Mother Hen.
Sending a message to those who insist she leaves May alone, she let them know that May is now her daughter and she would never leave her. She promised to stand against anyone who wouldn’t allow her breathe.
Eulogizing herself, Rita reemphasized that she would deal with any opponent of May as she vowed to knock anyone who criticizes her under her comment section.

Recall that after the news of Yul Edochie’s marriage to his colleague, Judy Austin broke out, Rita Edochie had stood solidly behind May, fighting for her in public.
During Mother’s Day last year, Rita Edochie threw a subtle shade at Judy Austin while celebrating May as she hailed her as the only wife of the actor, stating that any other wife is counterfeit, seemingly referring to Judy Austin.
The sister-in-law of Pete Edochie had claimed that Yul had hired people from a town in Onitsha to marry Judy Austin. She made this known after Pete denounced Judy Austin as his son’s wife.
Mocking Judy, she described May as a national treasure who was well married and received in the home, unlike, Judy Austin.
In a follow-up post, she had questioned the audacity of Judy to expect a legally married May to drop her husband’s surname.
A few weeks ago, Rita Edochie cleared the air about feigning her love and support for May Edochie.
There were speculations that the veteran indigenous actress harbors negative feelings towards May Yul and wishes to exclude her from the family.
Dismissing these claims as baseless, Rita asserted that she felt compelled to address them due to concerns about her reputation.
