Nigerian singer Reekado Banks has spoken about his marriage plans with his partner and his son’s mother.
In an interview with Esther Oye on E-Splash on TVC, he revealed that he’s no longer sure about marriage. According to him, two months ago, he was talking marriage plans with his woman, but things have changed now.
Reekado said he is in a place where he’s going through life. He stated that he wouldn’t blame his change of heart in music on his emotional intelligence or himself. However, he is working on it and believes things can’t change in the future.
“I am just in a place where we’re going through life. It’s a bit hectic in there right now. In the last interview I did that popped out with Eni, I was pretty sure about my stance, but now, I’m in a different place. And it’s only been two months since then. That’s why I said I can’t really say anything about it now.
It is based on experience because I was sure then, but I am not sure now. I wouldn’t blame it on music; I would blame it on myself and my emotional intelligence, which I’m still working on. “
Last year, November, Reekado and his girlfriend welcomed their first child, a baby boy, on the second year remembrance of his late mother. The singer appreciated his partner’s grit and strength and promised to love her forever.

In 2023, Reekado was the center of dating rumors following a video of him getting cozy him with an unidentified lady. The consistent proximity of the two throughout the event led many to speculate that their relationship might be more than just friendship.
