A Muslim critic has faulted the Muslim community for honoring Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe with a new title.
Kemi Filani reported that the talented role interpreter had been honored with the title of Arowoshadinni by ABD Azeez Islamic Foundation.
Sharing the good news online, Mercy Aigbe reintroduced herself with her new title as she appreciated them for the honor.
The news wasn’t well received by a Muslim critic, as he noted how everything in life is now about money. According to him, this isn’t the Islam, their Prophet left for them.
“Hmmmm, this is really not the Islam the Prophet left for us anymore. It’s all about money”.
Fans of the actress, tackled him as they questioned what was wrong with her getting honored.

It is no longer news that Mercy Aigbe has converted to Islam following her marriage to Kazim Adeoti. The movie star had given herself a Muslim name, Hajia Minnah.
Speaking on the meaning behind the name, Mercy Aigbe revealed that her husband, Kazim Adeoti was the one who gave her the name, and it means Mercy… Gift from Allah.
Though she understands that it isn’t a common name, the meaning behind the name is powerful, sweet, and unique hence why her husband suggested it to her.
To solidify her conversion to Islam, Mercy went to Hajj with her husband, Kazim Adeoti in June, alongside Kemi Afolabi.
Following her trip to the Holy Land, Mercy Aigbe officially became a Hajia.
Her fans had even bombarded her with gifts on her return, which left her overwhelmed.
Taking to her Instagram page to share a video of a cake that she received, Mercy Aigbe stated that since her return she has been getting so many gifts.
