Nigerian singer Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as May D, has caused a stir online as he hinted at escaping death.
The 40-year-old former DMW signee shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed taking drips on his Twitter page, expressing gratitude for life.

While many wished him a quick recovery, others questioned his health status.

Back in January, May D had revealed that he was a house husband to his foreign wife in Sweden. May D, however, made it clear that his wife wasn’t the one feeding him as he had his musical career and shows which was paying him more than his wife. He said it was his choice to stay at home and take care of their child while his wife did a 9-5 job. Unfortunately, his marriage crashed during the COVID-19 lockdown.
In other news, last year, a Nigerian waitress called out the singer with receipts for allegedly refusing to pay his outstanding balance of N11K for a meal he bought. Reacting to it, May D told those dragging him to leave him alone as he revealed that he was broke. Asking the lady to send him her account number, he promised to pay her at the end of the month when he collects his salary from his boss.
