Jasmine Okafor, the adopted daughter of Veteran actor, John Okafor better known as Mr Ibu has finally been cleared of the allegations against her.
Last month, Jasmine and Ibu’s son were arrested at Alagbon Police Station.
Actress, Doris Ogala made the news known, claiming that Mr Ibu’s wife had ordered their arrest for allegedly moving 300 million out of the actor’s account. According to reports, Mr Ibu’s wife allegedly wanted them to buy her a new house from the money contributed to her husband’s treatment.
After almost two weeks of being in the police station, Jasmine has finally been released and her name has been cleared of all allegations.
In a video captured online, a man had declared Jasmine free of all charges as he revealed that their findings showed that Jasmine had nothing to do with the money being transferred.
“Finally the case about Jasmine and Ibu’s family has been resolved.
After our findings, we discovered that Jasmine didn’t have anything to do with the money that had been transferred”, the man said.
Kemi Filani reported months back that Jasmine and Stella were at war over the donation the ailing actor has been receiving.
According to Gistlover, his wife wanted to take over the donation money to fund her lavish lifestyle as she is always talking about buying an iPhone 15 and new cars.
The blog also claimed that Mr Ibu’s wife had used her account to get N1 million from the donation.
Reacting to it, Stella Maris alleged that Jasmine was trying to make her an outsider in her marriage. Describing her statement as malicious, she vowed to address Jasmine’s excessive interference in her family affairs and other related matters.
Refuting her claims, Mr Ibu’s son, Daniel revealed that he is the one in charge of the actor’s account. According to him, he is the signatory to the account and his next of kin.
He stated that there was no truth in Stella Maris’ allegations as Jasmine didn’t have access to his account.
Following this, Stella ordered their arrest, and blogger, Cutie Juls had exposed Ibu’s son and Jasmine for misusing his donation money. The blog claimed that they were using the donation money to fund their travel expenses.
Amid the drama, an alleged leaked audio of Mr Ibu admitting to sleeping with Jasmine made rounds online.
His wife had a year ago, claimed during an online rant that her husband was sleeping with Jasmine, an allegation which they both denied.
An audio of the bedridden actor confessing to sleeping with her had surfaced online and had left many talking. Mr Ibu alleged that he caught Jasmine with his son, which led to their break-up.
