Social media analyst, Daniel Regha has reacted to the news of Afrobeats star, Davido performing at the closing ceremony of the ongoing 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Kemi Filani News reported hours ago that Chinese businessman, Stephen Hung shared the news of Davido performing at the closing ceremony on his Instagram story.
Expressing excitement, Hung stated that he can’t wait to see him. He wrote: “So happy my bro @davido confirmed he will be performing at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there”.
Daniel Regha reacts to World Cup news
Reacting to the news of Davido performing at the football event, Daniel Regha said he is glad the singer is feeling better however, he doesn’t think he made the wise decision to perform at the world cup after he postponed his A.W.A.Y festival following his son’s death.
According to Regha, Davido ought to stand by his decision and decline any offer till next year.
He wrote: Davido will be performing at the World Cup closing ceremony (reportedly), glad he is feeling better but I don’t think that’s a smart decision since he already postponed his A.W.A.Y festival by one year; He should stand by his decision & decline any offer till next year. No offence.
Daniel Regha shares opinion about Burna Boy’s quest for international recognition
Kemi Filani News recalls that Daniel Regha shared his unsolicited advice about Burna Boy’s quest to gain international fame.
Regha’s advice comes following pictures and videos posted on Instagram by American DJ, record executive, and record producer, Khaled Mohammed Khaled, better known as DJ Khaled.
In the now-deleted post, DJ Khaled shared pictures and videos of himself and Burna Boy hanging out at his crib. The first video shows the two stars at the dining. DJ Khaled could be heard telling his chef to bring lobsters for the African giant.
He also shared a picture of Burna Boy’s recording, followed by a muted video of himself and Burna Boy dancing to what is believed to be their newly recorded song.
Daniel Regha’s reaction
Reacting to the pictures, Regha said Burna Boy is a good singer however, he needs to take things slow with international recognition. He noted that not every collaboration is worth it.
Issuing a stern warning, he told Burna Boy to be careful so that he won’t be lured into a bad group that allegedly exists.
He wrote,
“Burna is a great artiste, but he needs to slow down on his quest for international recognition; Not every collab is worth it. I do hope he knows what he’s doing cos the !lluminati is very real, right before our very eyes & it takes very little to get ! nitiated. No offense”.
