Nigerian ace comedian, Ayo Makun otherwise known as AY has revealed why he doesn’t regret supporting Labor Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
He stated that his decision to support Peter Obi wasn’t because he was a politician, but because he wanted change and Nigeria to be better. He noted how people were pressuring him during the election to speak up, which he did and he ended up suffering for it.
Ayo Makun noted how his Lagos mansion surprisingly caught fire, which he believes was due to his political support. He also noted how Very Dark Man went through similar things because of his outspokenness.
Ayo Makun admonished Nigerians that after God the government should be feared and respected next.
“I supported Peter Obi, and as I am here, I still stand before you to tell you that I don’t regret supporting Peter Obi.
The decision I made was to support Peter Obi, not because I am a politician but because I want change and I want Nigeria to become better. No be say I be politician, I know nothing about politics, but nobody advised me. People kept saying to me, that my voice must be heard. You have over 25 million followers across all social media platforms. That’s why they heard my voice. As they hear my voice my house burns. After God the next person you should fear and respect is government.

Recall that in August, news made rounds that the Lagos house of AY was gutted by fire and millions of properties were destroyed.
Videos online captured the moment a Lagos State Fire Service truck tried quenching the raging fire. Luckily for the comedian, his wife, and his kids were on vacation overseas, when the incident happened.
Following the incident, the actor had temporarily relocated to the US with his family.
In a later post, Ayo Makun while bemoaning his predicament, revealed how it feels like knowing the only wardrobe he has is the clothes and shoes he traveled with.
Despite his huge loss, he is assured that he will rebuild his life using his adversity as a stepping stone.
For him, there is no such thing as going back to square one and he is confident that God wouldn’t disgrace him.
