Born on 20 July 1999, Pop Smoke’s age was 20 years when he took his last breath on 19 February 2020. He was brought up and raised in an upper-middle-class Christian family from Canarsie, Brooklyn, New York, United States. He was known to be an American by nationality and belonged to the Christianity religion. He completed his primary schooling at nine different schools in Brooklyn, New York.
He was suspended from his school for bringing a gun to school when he was just in the eighth class. After that, he spends two years on house arrest as a punishment for his deed. He went to a Brooklyn recording studio along with popular rapper Jay Gwuapo, but his fellow mate fell asleep as he was high on drugs and at that time, Pop tried rapping for the first time and used the beat from 808Melo’s YouTube channel to record his first single titled Mpr.

Pop Smoke created controversy on 17 January 2020, when he was arrested by the authorities at the International Airport while returning from a tour. As per the reports, he was accused of stealing a Rolls Royce worth $375,000 from a person in California when he borrowed the car for one day but didn’t return on time.
The car was found at his mother’s home in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn after few days after his arrest. The police officials also tried to question him about Crips, but he refused to answer. He had to post a bond of $250,000 as a punishment and agree that he would stay away from known gang members of Crips.

Pop Smoke took his last breath on 19 February 2020, when he was shot dead by four hooded men inside the house in Hollywood Hills, California. Per the official statements, four men broke into his house and shot him twice in the chest. After the incident, he was taken to the nearby Medical Center where he was declared dead after few hours of inspections from doctors.
His remains were buried at Green-Wood Cemetery. After few days three adult men and two minors were arrested for his murder. As per official statements, Pop Smoke’s death was related to his connection to a drug-smuggling-based gang named Crips.
