25-year-old Barcelona star, Denis Suarez has finally left Barcelona for Arsenal on a short term loan deal until the end of the Premier League season.
Suarez had to move away from the Camp Nou owing to the limited playing time he endured during the first half of the season.
Goal.com reported that the Catalans mistakenly posted the news on their website before quickly deleting the post on their official website.
Suarez returned to the Camp Nou in 2016 in a four year deal valued around €3.5 million from Sevilla with an option for extension.
However, having made just six appearances in all competitions this campaign, he decided to seek more playing time away from the club.
The publication reveals that the deleted news confirmed that prior to departing Barcelona, Suarez signed a contract extension with Barca until the summer of 2021.
Meanwhile, the Gunners would retain an option to signed the player on a permanent deal, and would be paying his salary for the rest of the season.
